We’re a couple who has always loved cozy evenings with candles… until one night, a classic candle tipped over on our coffee table. Nothing serious happened, but it was enough for us to ask: “Why are candles still this messy and unsafe?”

At the same time, we had shelves full of beautiful empty jars, vases and glasses we didn’t want to throw away. That’s when the idea was born: what if a candle wasn’t a solid block… but thousands of tiny plant-based pearls you can pour into any container you love?

We started experimenting in our kitchen: clean-burning vegetable wax, non-toxic fragrances, a system where the flame naturally goes out if the candle is knocked over. When we saw the first pearled candle glowing in a simple glass vase, we knew we had something special: a candle that’s beautiful, safer, reusable, and endlessly customizable.

We named it Sequoia® because we wanted it to stand for longevity, serenity and respect for nature — like a tree that’s deeply rooted and built to last.
